Bug in Google?

Try searching for "strongmitr".

You get "Did you mean: strong mitr Top 2 results shown".

On the side it says "Results 1 - 2 of about 1,700,000 for strongmitr.".

And on the bottom:

"Results for: strongmitr

Your search - strongmitr - did not match any documents. "

Now there will be a full 10 pages + Next links shown down the bottom, if you click on one of those it will just load the first page again.

Very weird! Is this only happening to me, or did I just discover a bug in google?

EDIT:

Adding to this, try searching for "stronghh". It will say "Results 1 - 10 of about 462,000,000 for stronghh.". Wow I did not know "stronghh" is so popular!

So you click the links down the bottom till you get to the 6th page, realizing maybe it's only popular in some foreign asian country, and then at the top it suddenly changes: " Results 51 - 60 of 60 for stronghh.", and the rest of the page links (7 - 10) disappear!

If you click the "repeat the search with the omitted results included." it will show some more results with "Results 1 - 10 of about 462,000,000 for stronghh." until you get to the last page and it's suddenly "Results 311 - 312 of 312 for stronghh."

What?!

Strange. Does it to me too. I tried searching "stronghipr" just for the heck of it and it does the same thing.

Maybe a bug to do with google's parser and html <strong> tags? Same happens with words beginning with "code" too.

No the word strong is a coincidence, same thing happens when searching for random phrases like "flubberm". It just needs to show that "results for flubber" list, and it seems to get confused what the result count is (Even on the 2nd page where that list is not visible!).

Although I may be invoking the html <flubber> tags

It doenst work on the dutch google, Maybe they made the dutch one foolproof (because else google would be bankrupt in no time

).

but! dutch google has a different word file i guess, it first searches dutch words instead matching english ones.

Just set your language to english

but google always had that bug with max results on page 40 or something
