Color -- Tan = Blue when running engine

Post by DarkWhoppy »

... the stranges thing. My terrian and my model's color changed to blue. I don't know whats causing this but all the other colors come out ok. Don't mind my stack of polys above the terrian... that was just there to see if i'd do the same for it :? .

How many bits per pixel are you using? You may need to switch to 32 when creating the device.

16 and then switched to 32. Both did the samething...(in 32bit the blue was a bit nicer :P )

Maybe there's a bug in the file importer. Which texture format are you using?

Cheers.

Well, i'm using JPEG and I tried BMP but still the same...

EDIT: I let a few friends test it... and it was tan on their PC. Its just mine that keeps making the terrian come out blue instead of tan. I've never had this prob before :?:

This is what it really looks like. (a friend of mine gave it a shot and it came out fine :x ) I was thinking of doing a Irrlicht Engine demo to stick on my site. A small world where you can just fly around in a air/space craft with some funky engine glow. But since my video card wants to act up.. which I can understand why (only 8Mb's) I can't do that right now. I have other ideas, but it'll be on hold now :(

How do you load or create the mesh for the terrain?

I just loaded it like any other model. The terrian and sky sphere is the only thing with collision detection 8) . Maybe if i'm able to compile with DirectX it'll work out right.
