Animation Transitions

I was wondering if irrlicht automatically fills in frames to make smooth transitions between different animations. This would really help so i don't have to make a bunch of transition animations for every animation switch. Sorry if i am not being clear, i can't think of a good way to explain it. Thanks for any help
