July 2009 Screenshot of the Month [Winner announced!]

Post by hybrid »

It has happened again. win64 won this month' screenshot contest with his scene "Gothic". Maybe you can add some details about your scene and used techniques here? Many people are really interested in things like polycount and applied shaders.

These are this month's contestants:
1. bitplane - FIGlet Image
2. asparagus - Architectural Drawing
Image
3. kiranmaya - Level Design Image
4. 3DModelerMan - Pingy's Adventure Image
5. Eigen - Front Warrior Image
6. Lambda - Kelion Online Image
7. wing64 - Gothic Image
8. Ronin - shooting range Image
9. BlindSide - Frog model Image

Ok, I guess you already know the procedure. Please submit new screenshots for the July screenshot of the month election. All contestants will get a place in our famous Irrlicht gallery, the winners will also be mentioned on the Irrlicht website and get a distinct upload in the winners' gallery. So you can only win here and earn the fame you and your project deserve 8) Happy submitting, the votes will start on July 20th.

I'll start the ball rolling with another unorthodox ASCII thing, a rather unattractive FIGlet font render :D

Screenie of an architectural drawing created on our soon to be released CAD system. Using Irrlicht 1.5. XEffects used for shadows.

asparagusx I advice you some tweak about light and material.
And I can't understand how your render seem to be so blured and aliased at the same time.

Okay, here's a screenshot from the Pingy's Adventure game, not just the prototype.

I'm still working on the movement.
