(updated) Marble Blowout v.1.1 - Released
It been nearly a year of development and I'm happy to release Marble Blowout. This game is 100 percent free and is a complete game with 50 levels and unlockables.
--version 1.1--
Hopefully i fixed some issues involving the game not running on some computers. I got rid of the launch screen and add options and help menus on the title screen. Thanks for all the help.
--Info--
Marble Blowout is one of those classic games where you roll a ball to the end of the level. In this game you will collect crystals scattered around the level. If you collect all the crystals you will unlock a new ball. Some balls that you unlock are special and certain levels require these balls to access different parts of the level. There are different themes such as Western or Mayan. This Game uses real time physics powered by Newton Game Dynamics.

try launching the game again. I notice after the installer installed the game and you try to launch the game it gives an error, but if you try again a second later it works. I have no reason why it does that but the game should run fine after that and you shouldn't get that message.
Also i don't know if it run under 64 bit. it runs fine under 32 bit. i will try installing it on xp. I was using vista so all you vista user should run the game fine.

sorry xray about the trouble. Glad you were able to run the game though.
Basically the Marble Blowout desktop icon launch a program that allows the user to change screen resolution, vsync, music on/off (options). Then you click a button to launch the game which runs the actually game. It was written in Microsoft visual c# 2008 express edition. I don't know why it wouldn't work on xp 64bit though. It however runs in xp 32bit which i just tested.
FuzzYspo0N hope your enjoying it so far...

I'm using Vista, and I got the game to run. But at the starting menu I can not save my options, I keep receiving a cryptic error. So I just went back and started the game with the default options. Then after the loading screen I tried to start the game, but I received a white screen for about 3 minutes, so I just escaped out of the program.
Is that white screen to be expected for more than 3 minutes?

wow that unexpected so it looks like i have to get rid of the options select menu and game launcher cause people are having problems with it.
ok when the game runs you should get - logo screen(FunBox Games logo), loading bar screen, title menu (where you get start, extra, data, exit ).
Halifax it sounds like you get stuck before the logo screen am i right?

ok so after the loading bar you got a white screen.
I will reconfigure the game and fix it so there is no launch screen and fix the options. It turns out that something is wrong even though it works on my computer.

I wonder if it's because you don't have the .NET 2.0 framework installed?xray wrote:Ill get an error on startup "error occured cant initialise application... (0xc0000135)" could it be that it doesnt run on xp64 bit ?

Yes, you are right. I just opened up the exe installer and found the dotnet installer. It seems to be a couple of years old, though, but I haven't a clue if that's an issue causing the crash.xray wrote:As I understood the installer, it installed the .Net 2.0 framework before installing the game

Ya the installer has .net framework 2.0. Basically the installer should have detected if u have it on ur machine and notify u if u don't. If u don't have it installed a message box would pop up and tell u that u don't have it. Then the installer should instal it.
I'm getting rid of that startup sreen where u change the options and launch the game and put options in the game itself. It's causing to much problems. I hope on release a new version soon.
Thanks for all the help so far.
