See I don't see it your way. I have alot of ideas that could make HUGE impacts on the world. The only problem is that they are not possible as of yet. What am I talking about you ask? Nothing more than using a reversible process to convert energy and mass!!! Just think of the possibilities. You could have the power to create enormous gravitational gradients at the touch of a button. Like I said the only problem is that creating a kilogram of mass would take 3000 gigaJ of energy. It is physically possible so go do it! :D

First off, leave the dead topics dead!
Second, my comment was quite obviously a tongue in the cheek comment. When one asks how to have an impact, in regard to our place in the universe, having kids is probably one of the easiest and safest way. No matter, out with you all, forum necromancers!

Take a walk in the sun, get an adjustment from a chiropractor (don't laugh..you'd be surprised), go see a reflexologist (once again, don't laugh...you'd be surprised). Make sure you take your vitamins, or even get some 5-HTP at your local vitamin store (an herb that raises seretonin levels in the brain - great pick me up, and it helps you sleep well at night). Try taking up yoga or running or something that raises your endorphins.

It's useless to say "chin up" or "snap out of it" ... all callous remarks if you don't know what it feels like. So I wish you good health - emotional and physical. Take care of yourself. Take some time off work if you can and rejuvenate yourself. We all need down time.

....and DON'T have kids. It wouldn't help in any way. And if you're thinking it might, volunteer at a local day care center or elementary school. You'll understand what I mean. Wink

When it comes to something as serious as depression (causes loss of jobs, family and lives) it is best to use use rigrously tested treatments, see your medical doctor if your symptoms persist, dont take advice from graphics forums

Top tip from omaremad there.
Everyone here has probably been depressed from time to time, but that's completely different from suffering from depression, so they can't really offer advice.

Er, what? The OP doesn't have a link in their signature, and they were active for a time and made relevant posts.

He didn't delete the OPs post, he deleted the one that omaremad quoted.

I think its a very smart marketing strategy to search for topics which contain the word "depression" and post links to Italian holiday escapes, etc as this guy did. You see, depressed people have an urge to escape from their day to day lives so this kind of thing would probably have a high success rate. Smart bot.

Cheers
