Anjuta is another nice IDE. BTW, there was a similar thread in the http://www.stratos-ad.com forum(spanish). Just search "Linux IDE" within the last year's posts.

I use kdevelop 3.0.4 out ov the box w/ slackware 10. It is sort ov like a simple vc6 (the only other ide i have used). It is fast & easy, & has most ov the visual tools that i was used to using in windows (class browser, etc.).

Me too. :) But I think I'll try out KDevelop again soon, and I've heard there is a Linux version of BloodShed DevC++ too.

"diff"? whats is that?

I was using CF-eclipse as a dreamweaver replacement, but slackware 10's basic text editors do coldfusion code highlighting...

I used Dreamweaver too and I cant complain. That plus FlashFXP which is good too. It makes learning HTML easier for me. (if I could find the time)
