I need help about python and C++

This may sound stupid but I just can't find example how to call function in python file with certain parameters and then retrieve it. I did search on google for 2 days but with no luck ( probably because I don't know exactly what this is called because English is not my first language ).

Any guideline will be much appreciated

1) Go to www.python.org
2) Left menu: Documentation
3) There are links "Python/C API" for both 2.X and 3.X Pythons - depending on which one you use.
