Is eBay a good place to buy PC components?
I'm trying to build a new desktop PC, and I have some ideas to make the money itself. I was wondering though, is it a good idea to buy some parts off of eBay? I'm sure there would be some good deals there, and I'm trying to get as much power as I can for as little money.

yeah, I have sold a ton of pc parts, make sure you read the entire description though to make sure it doesn't say it is broken. You should also check the user rating and details in their reviews to make sure they are good for their word.
What kind of parts are you in need I think i have some video cards laying around from when I was selling them I have some 5 series and some 6 maybe for nvidia geforce cards. May have some 8500's aswell. Let me know

Graphics cards are probably easy enough to buy on Newegg or somewhere, I really would want a brand new graphics card. I was thinking I could probably get some of the things that are a little less delicate. Like the power supply, or the case.

I haven't looked for them but it prolly shouldn't be too difficult to find some that work. I would recommend getting a new power supply as getting an old one may cause it to die unexpectedly or it may have some issues already otherwise you wouldn't really get a new one. Cases are a no brainer make sure the motherboard fits in it though and it isn't a dell case, I have had a number of dell cases that don't fit other components in or are just not worth the effort of making them work. Those are my only thoughts

Thanks for the advice. I was also thinking of maybe some of the kind of things that aren't necessary but would still be nice (speedy wireless cards, etc). Those would be easy to find on eBay.

I just bought a soundcard on eBay (for my band ... 6 in 6 out), but for "normal" hardware I don't want to use eBay. I'd rather get new stuff, especially as things like power supplies are not that expensive (unless you want a special brand). I paid 35 EUR for mine (550 Watts, 3 months ago), and I bought it from an online store (german online store) I trust.
I in particular have had some bad experiences with eBay. Check were I live and you will notice why.
Nothing ever gets here.

Everything is possible, IF you know how.

Hmmm, Swakopmund. I do think that could end up being hard to ship to
. I was also thinking a copy of Mac OSX Snow Leopard, I want to do iPhone, but you can't get an SDK for Windows, I could do a multiboot system with Windows and Mac.
