Best file format from Blender to Irrlicht?

Post by gedditoffme »

Hello all,

I was wondering what the best file format is to work between Blender and Irrlicht. It sounds to me like quake md2 is the best, since in Irrlicht's documentation it is the only one that claims to support animation.

If animation is important, is this true? Or have I misled myself?

Thanks :D

You could look at irrb0.4. Its a special Blender Plugin for irrlicht. http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... light=irrb
As for animation .X is best in DirectX rendering, I tested different formats once and found it to be fastest. :D It also supports skeletal animations if youre looking for that.
Everything is possible, IF you know how.

I feel very comfortable with .b3d, and the exported files from blender to .b3d are all binaries,

rather thatn the irrb, .irr is not a binary file, it is really slow when running many objects inside the scene...

i dont find any problem in .b3d files and armature animation is supported :D
thnx to gundulf...

by the way... I dont find any better alternative from blender to .b3d, ive tried .3ds but stil lfind .b3d easy to use...
opensource = freedom

how can you face the problem if the problem is your face?
