My Irrlicht demo browser

Post by Emerican_360 »

I've been using Irrlicht for the past two years and I thought it's about time i gave something back, so I wrote a small program which allows you to easily click through a couple of Irrlicht demos. So far I've only added 5 demos which are all based on irrlichts demos. Here's some screenies:

The main menu:

The options menu:

Demo example:

This program is by no means near completion. It's just a concept so far and I would like your feedback on the idea for a demo like this for Irrlicht. Heres a link if you want to download the app.

Thanks

Very interesting, if we get the time to inspect the source code and deem it reasonable we may include it as part of the package. I like what you have so far.

I've got one question though. With that being said should i try conform to irrlichts coding style as best as possible?

I tried it. For some reason the interface images appear somehow pixelated. I switched to 32 bit color and they were still the same. After starting the app again and clicking on "Options" the app crashed.

It`s not my job, but I think that if they ever decide using it, you`ll need to.

pretty cool. oh one thing, it would be perfect to not having the irrlicht logo "sticking" at the top right corner you know what I mean. :D

I didn't start using Ogre because its demo browser didn't work for me.
Such an app provides confidence in a library or not.

But well, yours looks nice and functional, looking forward to seeing it in action.

I'm busy working on the app now. I'm trying to make it much more stable and as for the UI rather use power of two textures to avoid problems on different hardware. I should have a better working copy by next week
