getting a constant 33 fps in WINE very smooth and stable... awesome work!

wow thats an awesome demo, definitely has potential. the graphics are good too, but would look a whole lot better with shadows and lightmaps and using models for the trees.

there were some small issues(as to be expected in a demo) such as when the enemies died, they would sometimes come back to life and then die in 1 hit.

also, when I ordered a group of people to attack an enemy sometimes a few of them wouldn't move or do anything. 1 of them also got stuck in a looping walk animation but didnt move.

the pathfinding was great, good job :D

EDIT:
I tried running it again, but it crashed whenever I pressed '0' to start it.
I'm using Windows 7 x64

Sure.... but I'm a lame artist but working on it 8))))

This is not a bug.... chars do not die.. they fall senseless... but after some time the stamina rises and they can fight again... It will be a feature...
Unit will need to be finished (killed) to die.

Not a bug also.... Each weapon has it's own attack range, and also there is a limited place around the unit for attackers... so sometimes there is no place for all your troops around 1 enemy....

1 of them also got stuck in a looping walk animation but didn't move.

This one is a bug indeed, but fairly simple one.. i just need a time to dig into AI.

15fps on integrated 6 year old graphic.

why would you release demo without all features? Are you going to charge for the game? There is FREE in the title of the thread so I assume not. Maybe its not finished, but you could use testing in any stage.

Comments:
+ It looks polished. Animations are slow and smooth. Are you doing those with max3d and panda only?
+ kudos for one man project
+ minimap is nice
- sound and music as soon as possible
- why 3d on 2d map? You should make it all full 3d.
- nothing happens when I select unit. I expect GUI change. At least Info about selected unit. Name, stats, inventory...
- cursor should change when floating above monsters, more indicators what unit is friend an which one is foe.
- movement could be faster
- moving with keyboard arrows is like pixel by pixel, not useful
- I don't see that keys 5,6,7,8 are working
- more gui buttons! I guess they are just not in this demo?

Can I grab your models for my project? :)

EDIT: MAJOR +++ IS models working with different WEAPONS (which I couldn't test, but I can tell its there)

This looks good. I like the ideas, and the tech demo shows what you have achieved so far well.
Are you looking for an artist? I have some modding experience and am learning 3d modelling, up till now I've done a lot of texture work. Might be interesting to work on this.

To show what hes done? or to let people test it, say what they think about it?

I didn't liked most of rts games, but when its combined with rpg I think I'll give it a try when I have some time(to early in the morning). 8)

Very polished game, i like the animations and the comabt system.

If you want modern rendering techniques learn how to make them or go to the engine next door =p

Hi) your game is quite good, it's one of the most polished tech demos that i've seen on that forum!
Do you need the second developer?
