Can you use Irrlicht to make online games, if so does it costs money to hosts servers, and where would I go about learning this.

Yes, of course you can, Irrlicht is only a graphics engine. Just get a network library and you should be good to go. As for learning, just look up some tutorials on whatever network library you choose. Now, to me this sounds like you want to make an MMO, and while I say good luck, I also say it's doomed to fail

well, yeah...don't make those...
irrlicht just puts a picture on the screen, and you tell it what picture to put. Combine that with a networking library and you can put nodes at positions sent from a server
some networking libraries you should look up:
winsock
raknet
and some random ones I've never heard of that I just found on google:
