the whole mesh disappear...

i think it should be EMT_TRANSPARENT_ALPHA_CHANNEL_REF instead? and also for EMT_TRANSPARENT_ALPHA_CHANNEL_REF the parts of your texture that had an alpha below 128 would be invisible and the parts with alpha 128 or higher would render.
if you need half transparent you should use EMT_TRANSPARENT_ALPHA_CHANNEL instead
