Considering getting a droid tablet

Post by 3DModelerMan »

I'm considering getting an Android tablet, but I was wondering if anyone knew of good ones in the $100 range? And also, are there any good 3D Modeling apps for Droid? Or maybe some sort of CAD software?
That would be illogical captain...

The $100 range only has 2d chips. You'd need the $500 range for proper 3d.

Hmm, I guess I could try e-bay... Has anyone used swoopo.com before?

What about the iPad? Does it have 3D Modeling apps?

To be honest, even if there were CAD programs for it (I'm not familiar with tablets, so I don't know if there are any) I don't think it'd be a very productive environment to work in, I have a multitouch LCD screen for my production machine and I noticed it's horrible for working with CAD programs, so I think you'd get the same results on a tablet

If you want a touch-based solution for doing CAD and modelling I'd suggest you spend your money on a good drawing tablet for your desktop/notebook

+1
I have a laptop with a multi-touch screen and it is pretty much useless for anything other than surfing the web.
