He said that he wanted a game like hitman. He didn't say that he was making a game. All I said was if you want a game, go buy it. Even though I'm not a big fan of cloners, I wouldn't have made that comment if he said he was making a game like hitman (not just wanting one) and had something to show. He sounded like a little kid who wants to take their favorite game and remake it specifically for themselves and have nothing but an idea(which isn't even theirs). Sorry but it kind of annoyed me.

You are completely right about the fact that making a game is not the same as playing a game though, a lot of newer people seem to have the illusion that the two are the same, and that they'll only have to worry about the cool gameplay elements they're going to implement and which spells they'll have to put in their MMO without even giving a single thought to the massive amounts of underlying elements needed, you're not the only one who can get annoyed by these things

We should make a must-read thread for all those new to game development containing all these basic things or something :D

Because nice things go on about 70~+ more topics before they (by they I refer to all starters who start like this, wanting to make best game ever alone in home, with no experience at all) drop what they wanted 'so badly'.

I doubt it. :P Also not to nitpick or sound like a douche but I noticed that in all of your posts you say "tough" when you mean "though". I think we all get what you are trying to say but just making sure you know that there is a huge difference between their meanings. Sorry but I can be a bit of a grammar nazi :)
