Sorry for the offtopic, but it seems I need to pour oil on troubled waters and mention that avatars in the middle was a joke and the stupid yellow head laughing was put to indicate that for those who have some trouble getting it.

I just browsed a little on http://www.phpbb3styles.net/ and those are a few styles which I would all like:

SkyBlue (my favorite so far)
X-Static
subsilver2 (the old one)
AeroBlue
eTech

They all have in common that they are avatar-left, scale with the browser (instead of fixed-width), similar color-scheme to the one we already used so far, mostly clean layouts.
None of them has unfortunately a "last page" button in the thread overview - maybe that was a nice change someone of the Irrlicht team (Bitplane?) had coded in the old forum.

I also found out by now that the old "View new posts" behaviour is no longer possible in PHPBB3 (closing the browser seems to be no longer counted as logging out. No idea why, they just closed the only bug-report on that), but I think I'll get through by using "View unread posts" + "Mark forums read".

I totally second Subsilver2, it's most close to the old style and it feels very familiar with me !!!
especially the avatars to the left of posts I prefere, it's more comon, just because we read from the left to the right (in chats you also read "someone said: hahaha" and not "hahaha, someone said)...

but I love the new code tag, especially the SELECT ALL function is great !!!

I spent about half an hour looking at the available styles, and I could not find one to catch me, except the good old greyish style, but was kinda shy to suggest it, as there are many people who would like something new. Now I can say that it combines the new features and improved design and the same old, modest style we all have used to. I simply love it! So, thanks again!

Yoran, that red ! (report post button) is hovering weirdly in the middle of the signatures, shouldn't it be attached to something? Perhaps the bottom
