What tool do you use for the humans in your scenes? Are they animated, or static meshes?

WarDusk

As so many showing MC like Projects i thought why i shouldn't do the same :D

We started the development some months ago as side-project for a case study, but as we have gotten really great response from testers we switched it to a full one.
The screen shows just the world rendering as it was arround 1-2 Month ago.

Gimp for texture manipulations.
MakeHuman + Blender for the body meshes.
Blender for the wardrobes and hair.
Blender for posing and exported as static meshes in b3d.
An irrlicht based scene editor for final translation, rotation, material editing, and the screen shot.

@Xaryl The AA is very nice. What kind of AA did you use ?
What tech did you use for that scene ?

The fool proof AA for the entry :P; oversampling and few-pixel blur.

The techs are the same as last month, except for blinn-phong lighting and a warmth pp. (Couldn't quite put anything new in without making the picture look worse :/)
So that would be deferred rendering with blinn-phong lighting and basic shadow, warmth pp, bloom, tone mapping (with hdr), and AA.

The background is just a skybox, and the terrain is pre-made with EarthSculptor and Blender.
The windmills are based on this one.

Edit: oh and change the camera fov to about 45 degrees, the default 72 degrees is too big for normal use.
Now you know all the secrets, you need to submit something good

To add a little variety, here's a screenshot of the 2D animating tool I've been working on:

That's a cool 2D animation tool. I've never found anything that's good for 2D animation like that before.
That would be illogical captain...

At least all 3 screenshots look very interesting :-)

Ducky: I'm curious - did you use Irrlicht-GUI with custom elements for this? Or which GUI-lib are you using otherwise?

Only 3 screenshots and I still have no votes! Mark my words users, I will win eventually.

@CuteAlien: Entirely Irrlicht's GUI system. The only custom element so far is the timeline in the bottom
