Rendered only in Irrlicht? Impressive!
Re: Screenshot of the Month July 2011 [Submit now!]
Besides rotated clockwise 90 degrees afterwards (because the forum layout cuts the right side of the pictures, if on small windows/screens),
it was rendered in Irrlicht with Phong reflection (deferred rendering), basic shadow, SSAO, bloom, tone mapping (with HDR), and AA.

Yes, great way to make cloth for someone with no art ability
The skirt on the female model too, by the way.

The cloak was real-time.
The skirt was baked (easier to compare the lightings and post processes when nothing moves).
However, I will admit that I don't like it (for now), because...
1. Unless the character animation is not predetermined, real-time cloth doesn't feel necessary.
2. It's improbable to check for all defects and there is no local fix (e.g. weird bulge or cutting through).
If I ever decide to spend more time on real-time cloth, I will try them mostly baked but with a little of real-time.

I'm not trying to be a dick but why can people submit a screenshot of a quake asset just rendered in Irrlicht? Technically it is not their screenshot as all they did was make it render in Irrlicht.
It's just something that has always bothered me about these competitions.

Oh - I thought quake 3 bsp just did mean it's using that format. Is this a shot out of a game level (sorry, I never played this much, so I wouldn't recognice it)? It's not mentioned in the rules - but yeah - I don't think doing that is a good idea and maybe not even legal due to copyright.

You may be right CuteAlien about the format but that scene sure looks like a shot from a Quake 3 level. I may be wrong though, and if I am; my apologies.

Yes, it's a q3 bsp rendered with Irrlicht. But the idea for this screenshot contest is not to create superior 3d assets, but to create awesome renders with Irrlicht.
