How to export from 3ds max to directx9 files in window7 !
Hello,everyone !
I'm Hung.
I'm deverloping a FPS game now.I have a 3d models animated soldier and want to export to directX files.I using window 7.But when i export from 3ds max.irrlicht do not supported that x fomat.I thing x file is directx11 version.I need help of everyone.Can help me export X file from 3ds max in window 7 that directX version is directX9.0,not directx11 ??? Thanks for help me !!!

kw-export also works well, but the animated meshes... sometimes it messes the animation times....

The OS (Windows7) has nothing to do with it
What version of 3DS Max are you using?
I use Panda plugin and it works for me, but not always...
depends on the animated model like Mel said, but not only the animation times, you also need to be careful about the bone heirarchy and how you handle keyframes

Thanks everyone.I'm using 3ds max 2011.I using panda soft to export x file.But irrlicht sad do not supported compressed file. How to export directx 9.0 ? please

I've found that the Panda exporter can mess up vertex ordering, and have been using kW X-port instead.

yeah.But Can KW X-eport export to x file DX9 ???,please help me . I using 3ds max 11.Window 7

DX9 is not a file format. If you export to .X it can be displayed in DX9.

I know this.But when i export to x files,i using panda soft to export,but irrlicht output do not support that x files.So how i can export correctly x file format.please help me

I could tell you to search the forums, but you haven't said what the problem is. So try to experiment. Export a model, import it into Irrlicht, then post what was wrong about the model. Maybe someone could help you with *that* problem, or maybe you could Google it. But you have to start with the symptom of a problem.

Irrlicht reads text and binary X files, but not compressed ones.

Can everyone help me,tutorial about how to using KW X-port or PandaSoft by images ??? I was search google but not successfull.I want to export to both model and animated .How can i do ?please
