I am a professional webdeveloper and 3D modeller. For years I have been walking with the idea of making a game.
I know a fair bit of C++ but never got to the professional level unfortunately.
Since I can design 3D models, worlds et cetera, I wanted to try to get a small team of 2 or 3 people to start the development
of an awesome (preferably online) game.
As said, a professional website (in the future) will be no problem at all. If the project goes the way I want it, in the future we will
need (dont know the right english prenouncement for it) funders. Since I am a CEO for almost 10 years now, I have a lot of relationships
and connection so finding funders shouldnt be a problem neither.
What I am looking for:
One or two dedicated C++ coders. You do not have to work on fixed times, as this will be a "in our free time project". I dont care if you cant work on the game
for 3 of 4 days once, but when you can only work on the game for like 1 hour a week, week after week, then there is no point in applying to this project.
If you dedicated your self to this project, there is money to be made with this in the future. So you have to be able to say "I cant go out this weekend" sometimes.
Or tell your girlfriend to bug off because you have an class or alchoritme to finish first *lol*
You have to be open and fair. If you dont understand stuff, or simple dont have the knowledge to archieve something we need, it is no problem at al. Just inform us
and we will find a solution for it.
When you say "next week thursday it will be done" then have it done by that day and not 7 days later. I know you can not always make it in time especially with stuff
like 3D modelling and high-level coding but as you understand, a promise is a promise and you should strive to keep your word when possible.
Also, you need to be willing to sign your signature on (in the future) some kind of contract. This is just to secure the both of us. If we ever make money with the game,
it will be devided fairly amongst the team. It is also (to keep a long story short) to keep your self secured in the team so people cant kick you out of the team or, to say
it in a harsh way, stab a knife in your back.
Skills you need:
- Good overall knowledge of C++ coding
- Preferably at least the basic knowledge of Irrlicht, since if you know C++ using -and learning Irrlicht shouldnt be a problem
- a Decent knowledge of mathematics. You need to be able to calculate various things like pathfinding alchoritmes and collision detection (i.e. will an object hit the wall or will it hit the enemy)
- Good English writing skills. Why English? because almost everyone can talk and type English. If we get more people in our team (now, or in the future) everyone needs to be able to understand and talk to one another
What can I offer you:
- a 3D modelleren
- Professional webdeveloper
- Connections to funders
- Trustfull partner to develop the game with
The idea:
I have multiple idea's for games as I have been thinking about this for years. There are two plans in my head in which I see a lot of potention. Ofcourse we will brainstorm as a team to develop the idea further and -or to
make changes. Of course I will not throw down the idea here since these forums can be read by anyone on the world wide web, but if you are sincerely interested then I can explain you my idea's on MSN or by e-mail.
So, if you have any questions... feel free to ask them by e-mail, PM or by replying on this topic. If you are interested, send me an e-mail or PM with the following information:
- Name
- Age
- Country (dusnt matter much)
- E-mail address
- Skills (C++, Engines, Frameworks, Photoshop, things like that)
- Anyhting else you want to let me (us, as we might get more people in the future) know
I hope to see some reactions from people on these boards

Pre have-a-nice new year in a couple of hours all

Yours sincerely,
GZ
