ok,
i've tested some editors, but many of them are very expennsive.
is there a editor which is very good and easy to use to make maps simply?
and witch formats can i use for irrlicht?

look at the irrlicht page to get the loadable .formats :)

you can use the quake3 mapping tools (which you cant use commercially), gmax (which you can use commercially) or blender (the best of all, and its free!!)

all the programs ive listed above are free, but personally i like blender the most (you can make maps, make models, animations, film sequences, renders etc. in it, so its a allround prog)

www.blender3d.org :)

*cough* QUARK *cough*

Go to the Tools List:

Most of these are FREE.

there are some video tutorials on this site for using gmax and a map exporter. but i find it eaiser to use qe-radiant (quake 3 map editor) and sorta change some stuff so you don't need quake 3. i'll explian if you are interested.

GFXstyLER you said you can't use q3 mapping tools for commercial projects. do you mean ones made by id, or EVERY quake 3 editor ... including the radiant series?

radiant licensed by id, can't use for commercial. You can use Quark for commercial projects, but you'd need a seperate bsp compiler.

I tried Quark for a while, but I personally much prefer gmax or blender. Both are much more powerful modelers than quark, and it's much easier to bring in models from other formats.
You do a lot of programming? Really? I try to get some in, but the debugging keeps me pretty busy.
