Sorry, but SF has a load balancing system which just returns localhost (or some private numbers, don't recall anymore). Since I think five years now. Before, we have had correct IP numbers.hendu wrote:Give me admin on this forum and I will.

Damn. Oh well, then we only have to rely on writing style.

Yeah, you're right, those seem to be written by the same person.troll Edhard wrote:Hello, my name is Edhard and I'm a troll. Not unlike Dr. Who, there are multiple incarnations of me (drahdellort). Please feel free to fall for any more trolls in the near and/or distant future

Re: Ubuntu Phone! :D
I can't stand android tinsy little icons, just like iOS. WP for me alllll the way.
I like WP/RC/windows 8 metro desktop BECause I love tiles. ICons are SO 18th century! imho anyway. So old fashioned.
Im an artist, and maybe thats JUST how I roll, but I simply very much enjoy the visuals/mechanics of metro UI.
I do own a android phone and I'll use it for development, I don't own a iOS WHO can afford one ? I SO want a wp8 devivce because now its going to accept c++
Windows phone tablets are also increasing in market share and I think windows 'blue' , if MS does it right will make the OS much more palatable to those on the fence.

Re: Ubuntu Phone! :D
Change them into Metro UI Tiles, I doubt that, ones that update as they do on the Windows phone 7 ?
My android phone is utter crappola anyway as its a very cheaply made LG optimus T. I had no idea going in it as that cheap, but that's life, and atm I can't afford to get a better android phone so Im sticking for now with the WP7 unless
Microsoft gives me a reason to change, which atm there is absolutely none. Unless android starts to get a lot better compatibility between devices ( for apps, games, whatever), then why would I even bother .
Before Im even half convinced about Android I'll need to see a lot of changes. Wp7/8 gets it and Metro UI proves it. We'll see where android goes, but for now I'm not impressed much.
I also like very much how metro UI swipes/animates as you go between screens, and Im not looking for a cheap copy cat.
Btw speaking of impressed, where is android for IRR or iphone for that matter ? ( goes to look )
Cheers

Re: Ubuntu Phone! :D
A friend of mine is working on a thing called LinuxOnAndroid. It's super laggy unless you're using a really fast phone/tablet, but the idea is pretty awesome.
Re: Ubuntu Phone! :D
Fantastic. So we have Linux running on Android running on Linux! Now if we can run Android on that ...
Re: Ubuntu Phone! :D
Already rooted my phone and installed Terminal IDE app + arm gcc compiler = just like any other Linux system.

Yeah... except for the hardware keyboard
