Additional meshes

Post by Fabio451 »

Hi.
Don't know if it's is a bit off topic. I try.

In the demo example there is a wonderful flame effect on the torches.
I see it comes from additional meshes in the bsp map.
But how the flame, or in general additional meshes, can be included in a bsp file?

Bye.

That would typically be done with something like this:

Although the flame in the example map is just a 2D billboard brush with a flame shader applied, and iirc that's pretty easy to do in netradiant. (Mind, I haven't used *radiant in ages so I could be misremembering - but I hope it at least points you in the right direction)
