Question / thoughts about models

Hello!!

I was wondering, how "legal" it is to use models from other games (like Quake, Morrowind, Star Wars, etc..) in personal projects? I guess I can do whatever I want in my own computer, but can I make this availabke for other people as well?

Im not for sure, but i believe you can use them as long as you dont claim to have created them or are selling games with those models in it

unless u grab models been open sourced and given clear permission for it, like Catmother engine media.

Not without contacting the people/companies who made the models and gain their SPECIFIC allowances in WRITING. Every model they make is more than likely copyrighted.
