nVidia's newest drivers SUCK!!!!!!

Post by [dx/x]=HUNT3R »

Has anyone else had any problems with the newest 52.16 driver from nVidia? I have a Leadtek geForce 4 ti4400 and everytime I install the driver and reboot, when Windows XP pro loads and then starts to go to the desktop... I get a quick blue screen of death and I have to go into safe mode and uninstall them. I have tried to install them like 20 times since they released them with the same results each time. I read in the release notes that there is a blue screen bug with ti4400's while playing BF1942, but nothing about them not working at all. And of course nVidia has no way to contact them at all, even just to report a bug. I keep going back to the 44.03 drivers b/c the 45.23 drivers give me about 500 less 3DMarks than the 44.03's. I've always been a big fan of nVidia but lately those ATI's have been looking like a real nice idea for my next video card...

Yes, that's why I don't use NVIDIA products since a year. Their drivers always suck.

I don't see any new drivers? The 52.16's are the newest on their website, they just released them a month ago. They said they released a newer US version on Nov 5 to fix a Win XP problem in the UK so I downloaded them and tried them again with the same BS results, again. Those ATI's are really starting to look nice...
