New site using WordPress

It has a new front page. Gone is the minimal HTML stuff I tried. I looked at Bjarne's web site and tried to mimic that. He had no intention to make it look pretty.

I thought I'd be less critical of myself and use something that makes life easier. It's a gradual thing but it's nicer on myself.

The drawings / sketches I did can still be accessed, but by removing index from my server has enabled WordPress to show the sample page.

I had to try a few web browsers on Lubuntu as different ones did different things. So far Falkon is helping.

I am not coding at the moment. Web pages are giving me things to work on that's different to C++ but still helps me use a computer.

Hopefully it will fill up with things, and I've stuck to the "portfolio" design (a static page that won't change much) over blog posts every day.

Still, you have your projects I currently have a Beginner's Book on web site publishing made easy.

I would like to create a web site like the irrlicht tutorials, but for c++98.

If I were to create c++98 tutorials in html would you allow me to upload it on your site? (just pure static html)

Noie... I once had an on line friend who was hosted at a popular web site back in the day. My friend allowed me to upload some map editor tutorials that were pretty terrible I admit. Nevertheless he uploaded them.

I'd like to make any tutorials you wrote to be displayed as best as they can be. Sure, I will, but I may need to run things by yourself closer to the time.

I think I want a web site that opens things up Very much like the internet relay chats and chat programs / chat abilities in games. Some of my fondest memories were of sharing a space with like minded people.

Well, I will do a tutorial on building a turn-based RPG without any libraries, just using c++, then I will extrapolate it to using windows.h and drive a responsive window with a double buffer to precompute everything and get the best possible graphics using about 1 mb of ram and about 40 hz of cpu, something like 1%.

I will send you the file privately, I also wanted to document these things in a blog or something to read it and re-study it, or remember things.

I am having to make content for my page, so what I'm working on are little bits of video and little screen grabs. I am finding more time for my "work". I recorded a video after it hit me... Game developers spend most their time playing games and creating games. It's a far off planet to what I had been doing.
