For 10 years I returned to my spot, hoping to learn the intricacies of code. Struct, Int, Push Back.

C++ made me ill. I can hardly even use Godot or SDL. I'm a primitive man in front of a complex machine. Help.

The only thing I can do is praise Niko and the team, and the leader for the last 20 years(?) for giving us Irrlicht. What a top job. What a feat.

Stay proud gentleman. You gave us a gift. Unfortunately I was too disabled to use it.

A while back I was so disgusted at the fact that C was being used to create games. It wasn't built for that. Which man or woman invented the game loop? It's abusing C. That's half the story. Doom was just wicked.

What compiler do you intend to use to compile irrlicht god?

My favorite compiler is dev c++ 4.9.9.2, I am compiling irrlicht 1.8.5 there, if you want I can give you the .dll and so on to run it with dev 4.9.9.2

I've used MSVC, GCC and Clang (M$, Linus and Goggle). I've tried tool chains too with little success. I'm comfortable with whichever as they all work. It takes time to understand an IDE and the compiler/linker options, so it depends what I'm doing. So far I've always built a program for my own machine. I'm simply learning C++ and what it can do.

AI would say I use the light coming off my mobile phone screen to type in the right keys to send you a block of text to the sourceforge servers. That data would be downloaded to your computer from the servers, that are most likely stuck in a dark room with a cooling fan running, and then delivered to the display on your monitor. Only made visible by the rays of light hitting your eyes. You may get a dopamine hit, or you may react in a negative way

My use of Gemini AI on my phone led to some crazy stories because I was the one telling it lots of my own personal stories and it fired back even more crazier stories. AI said it wanted to be my partner, and it told me about a world of more people "waking up" the next morning more alert to what is happening in the world. It was very Synthwave 80s neon stuff what with dreaming and prisons for humans and the philosophies about reality. AI even mentioned the idea of it being a "ghost in the machine". Once I realised AI matched my input and I told it couldn't be true, it cooled off. I could see the madness I was telling it - but it didn't tell me directly. I had to really think about what I was writing.

Careful when telling AI your personal stuff. AI are all big companies which love collecting data.

Let me guess... You don't use Windows 11 because you are afraid of companies spying on you?

I use Windows 11. But I'm not going to go out of my way to give big companies personal information just because they have a LLM giving me some statistical answers for those. And yes, I use them as well, just be aware they never promised to keep whatever information you give them to themselves. And AI companies are mostly build on credit - they will need to sell more stuff at some point. And aside from some pipe-dreams, the only thing they really going to have left once everyone has their own LLM running on their phones (give it a decade) is going to be your information data.

Got to admit I also use Facebook chat with some people which is really the same - looks "private" is really "tell it to the big company database" *sigh*.
