Here's me working hard for last 9 months or so on my PBR pipeline: http://www.michaelzeilfelder.de/Pics/Sc ... a8lt0J.png
Screen space reflections, VBAO, bunch of anti-aliasing experiments and full PBR pipeline. Admittably running pretty hard into the Irrlicht limits with this sometimes, but at least some got a bit relaxed through this. Especially making it a bit easier to combine Irrlicht with GL again (not 100% there yet, but with the occassional ugly hack it's possible).

Look good. The reflections on that table are sweet.

Yeah I kept going with the fvf branch for my project and expanded the API quite a bit the limitations of base irrlicht just didnot allow me to do what I wanned

I'm also still using Irrlicht. At the moment I am working on a system which makes it easier for me to start new projects (aka a framework), i.e. which easily integrates other libraries (physics, sound) with a basic interface. I got something working by now, but it's not yet ready to be published (I hope I can do so this year)

I just logged in to change my password. Does this count as being around?

Boy, it's been a long time... 20 years this December. Time flies...

My main project, RCBasic, is still using irrlicht. I just put out a new release a few minutes ago.

Irrlicht is a work of art, I always try to create something with it, my daily life is trying to do what Irrlicht does on my own from scratch, but I always come back brutally humiliated by how good and easy it is to modify it and create things with it
Irrlicht is love, Irrlicht is life, long live to Irrlicht

I'm still here! I've been building a UI toolkit that has Irrlicht as an optional back-end. I still love the simplicity of Irrlicht.
Just updated it here:

I still work on my Hi-Octane port / LevelEditor based on Irrlicht Engine. Half a year ago I started to replace much of my own already existing implementations with reverse engineered code based on the Playstation 1 version of the game, because my own implementation was not feeling right. Currently the project is kind of a mess until I have cleaned up my now mostly unused old source code. But at least the game now feels correct and makes much more fun :) When the game logic is done (hopefully over the next months) I want to see how much I can improve the graphics of the original game. I would like to experiment with deferred rendering (irrRenderer) and combine it (if possible) with XEffects. But for this I will still have to learn a lot of new things. Especially for the LevelEditor Irrlicht is great, because I can use the included Gui functionality.

If someone is interested, the project can be found on GitHub under

If you have any ideas or feedback please let me know.
