Howdy, I'm playing around with (maybe) the idea of throwing together a multiplayer FPS over the coming year - somewhere along the lines of CS. Now, it may sound like an adventurous undertaking, but I've lived through worse (I write software for a living). My only criteria at this stage is life-like physics for player models: I want very little pre-determined animation; everything will be computed client-side. So, for example - and where hit locations are concerned - a shot in the shoulder will *look* like a shot in the shoulder and the body will react according to a realistic balistic event. The same with localised explosions. At the end of the day, this isn't very difficult in itself, but it is where I'll need the most help. You see, I'm hopeless when it comes to anything arty, and even creating a 3D player-model leaves me grasping for purchase from a higher force. ;-) So if there's anyone out there who can point me in the direction of a decent *human* model, with an accurate skeleton, then I'd really appreciate it.
In fact, I'd like to shoot the sh*t outta it. ;-)

And if there's anyone out there who've played around with realtime skeletal animation then I'm sure we'll find a lot to talk about.
