For all you guys that get your feelings hurt

Post by Midnight »

Ok I'm having a major problem with people on forums these days so I just wanted to give you something that might make you see it from my perspective a bit.

I'm tired of living in a censored world where everyone is whining about how other people make them uncomfertable...

I GOT NEWS FOR YA! THE WORLD IS AN UNCOMFERTABLE PLACE FULL OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR POLITICALLY CORRECT CRAP!

Don't get me wrong I still say please and thank you in real life but is that something that really needed to find its way to the modern symbol of free speech known as the internet?

What ever happen to the days of forts in the woods and signs that read "No Girls Allowed!" ??

read this maybe you'll learn something
Real Men

Anyways it's good for a laugh.

And it aint getting any better when people use this or the classic 'Life isn't fair' retort to justify there actions.

(Not that I'm accusing you Midnight, but most people who use these lines use them in self defense to justify blantantly wrong activities)

"But poking my new born baby in the face for no reason isnt fair."
"Well life isn't fair" *poke*

What is your problem with people on these forums? No ones making you read those topics/posts/boards against your will. And how is it that your tired of censorship and then telling people the adjust there posts because you don't want to endure political correctness?

and "(not that I'm saying spousal abuse is right, I'm just saying that sometimes she deserves it)" - from your link - how is that NOT saying spousal abuse is right? He might as well of said "its not right, but just tell yourself she deserves it"

Anyways thats my counter rant over, i hope i came accross alot more PC than i meant to

Have a nice day.

Life might not be fair, but we all can at least try to make life a bit more enjoyable around here. Some people come here to enjoy themselves and escape from their jobs etc. The least we can do is say "Here, have a good time and try to learn some fun stuff while you're at it." I'm getting tired of your bullshit like "I don't have to censor myself, its my right." I know that it's your right and you legally you don't have to censor anything, but COMMON CURTESY says that you should be *gasp*NICE*gasp* to people every once and a while.

I agree with Robomaniac. One thing is having the right to assume a position towards things in life (whatever it may be) and another very different one is crossing the limits of common courtesy and respect.

Remember our rights stop where the ones of the other begins. In other words, say, do, think, write, publicize, draw, compose, etc anything you want in life as long as you respect others.

Anyway, I don't know what happened with the good ol' days of simply discussing projects and trying to learn stuff from one another. And I also know Midnight has done some interesting work with the engine as well. I can't understand how something so pure and simple as graphics can end up getting stained with all this personal stuff.

I guess if you want to discharge all that mental stuff there are plenty of other forums to choose from for doing so. let's keep Irrlicht stuff confined to graphics, programming and helping others. (Or simply write the guy in your link any hate mail fou feel like writing; he seems to be more than accustomed to getting insulted; It even seems he enjoys it)

Well, the weirdest thing is that I haven't read anything rude from Midnight. His posts are usually programming-related and he answers in a proper way.

I'd like to see where the problem started.

LOL Midnight, Maddox rocks! hahaha.

Rudeness is relative. Someone telling me, "yeah" is not rude, but to many southerners around me it is. Someone calling me "Sir" all the time might be kinda rude, but to ppl here in the south, its a must. During traffic, it's normal to me to curse and wave and flick off, but I'm from NY, to southerners, they would be appauled if i did that... so yeah, point being take everything with a grain of salt or something like that. dont freak cause others are being NooBs, and dont freak cause we're freaking out at NooBs. life is life.

@flyhigh - ya know I was gonna write this whole thing and explain how moronic you sound to me but I realised I have better things to do.

@fraza - you creep me out what is this link for?

@RLG - sup bro - keepin it real yo.

@SmOrliwiz - you don't know what the hell your talking about lol

@afecelis - well thank you thank you very much and I too would like to know how this started.

@Robomaniac - ok bro I agree and if you've noticed I've been making effort... why do I sound like I've been counsiled? but seriously bro does everything have to be nice and perfect can't it be a little disorginized and personal? I call my friends not by there name but by there curse word nicknames in real life...why would I be any different here? unless you can't take it. is that what your saying? instead of hey buddy I say hey ahole unless I don't like you.

I'm glad we could have this talk...this was my motive "discussion and humor" this has always been my motive... any questions?

well I enjoy reading your posts Midnight, feel free to be rude and obnoxious to me because I enjoy it.
Also I suggest you go read theisonews.com off topic forum, where everyone is a rude boy warez kid and nobody ever posts anything nice, it's evil. I'd hate to see this nice friendly place turn out like that though.

which reinforces what we've said above. There are places where you can talk that way.

So let's put it simple: there are some basic rules here that need to be followed so that's what we expect you guys to do. It's a fact that there are many foreigners (like me) and non-English speaking people around that might not understand the sharp blade of Midnight's sense of humor so in order to avoid hurting or disrespecting anyone let's play by the rules in this field, alright? :!:

I'm sticking to Midnight's side on this one.

I don't get why people sterilize their thoughts...making sure no one will ever have a bad feeling about anything...

I don't mean to censor anyone or their thoughts. I just say there's a proper way, time and space to express them. Like they say:"when in rome do as the Romans do"
:D

in the end I'm still not sure about what happened in the beginning since I could'nt read that post myself. I'm just making up my own conclusions based on what I've read.

so...when in Irrlicht.....
