There is always the fine line between humor and offense. I have an off-kilter sense of humor, but work for a very corporate corporation.

For me, I just try to gently push conflicts to different areas. For the most part, I try to keep the Beginner Help area relatively conflict free as this is the first place that many new users will get their impression. Most people there need stuff, not fluff, though a reminder to use the Search button doesn't hurt. There will always be repeated questions, the best an advanced user can do is put the information in more easilly spotted places and hope it gets read. When I see a question that has been asked a bazillion times, I usually ignore it. I'm hopeing that the person get's bored and decides to try searching for it.

I was a GenMay'er back when it was still on [H]ard|OCP. I can't stand the new GenMay as the community degenerated fast. No one there will answer any questions seriously and usually start insulting immediately. It's all fluff. However, the [H]ard|OCP forum is mostly stuff, not fluff. Technical questions get answered fast. However, bannings are smacked down quick for rule breaking.

The Irrlicht forum only has one Banned/Removed member, and I don't want to discuss much as as that same banned member threatened me non-stop with lawsuits over a flamefest posted here by some of our more "enthusiastic" members. The Wife even demanded that I step down as a mod and quit accessing this forum when I told her about the threats. That whole incident did not make me a happy camper.

As for Advanced Help, I could care less what goes on as long as comments don't get too out of hand and slug into a flamefest. Why? Because you guys have read enough posts from each other to be able to understand that cursing like a sailor is just a person's way of speaking.

Keep kids and "real" men that constantly have to remind themselves that they are real men (for what ever reason), off the forums, that's all i say.

I like how everyone tries to make it seem very childish when thats the point I was trying to make in the first place.

I thought it was all in fun some of you need to get out more.

don't go over board like mr firefox over here and take it personal to the point you're ruining what good does come from the people that bother you.

So... Telling people 'to grow some balls' could be considered offensive and then you tell people to not get offended by your statements? what makes you so special?

I don't know about you but here in the states whenever someone mentions "Real Men", they are referring to homosexuals.

Anyway, if it were up to me Midnight's stupid ass would have been banned a long time ago.

Just in case you are referring to what I wrote above, I'd like to put this right:
what I meant with it, is exactly what I spelled out in the sentence.

Look for the good aspects of Midnight sense of humor, for example how 'live' you guys are for all his thoughts and opinions.

If you were clever enough to abandon him in 100% there wouldn't be any problem.

But now Midnight as usually wins (and makes parties at his Darkness Palace

)

PS For me his comments are funny, you have to not take them too serious.
