Alpha channel does not affect 2D images?!

Post by Benjamin »

There was a similar thread a couple of month ago, but no solution was posted.
Here is the problem again: i have tried to draw a 2D Image and changed the SColor-array to make the image transparent. I don't talk about transparency of one color. I want to set the whole image to a certain level of transparency to be able to fade in/out 2D images. The RGB-components of SColor do affect the image. It appear (for example) in a blue or green look. But the alpha component seems to be ignored. It works fine for rectangles, but not for images.
Is this a bug? Does anyone know how to change that? I don't know if it works for DirectX8 or DirectX9, i am not able to try it out.

This is not a bug (I think), it's only a feature that is not yet implemented, I allready tried to do it to make skins for my GUIs but didn't found any solution
