irrlicht the gane engine

ok many people wanted features like sound and physics built in irrlicht becuse they thought it is a game engine

and then other people would reply that it is a graphic engine only but what we dont realise is that we alredy got the elemnt of the game engine but we dont cooprate towards a single goal

so why dont we combine the following to make a great game engine

-ai:already done by me and emil halim
-physics:merciour example,nick japans car code
-3d sound;i already done it(see faq section)
-level editors:lantis,etcaptor darkwhoppy
-we should do a standard entity list format just for irrlicht
-game gui stuff(ice framwork by keless)
-water sahder(i am nearly finished but i need help)

i feel that no one i acting like a team and we are just repaeting what others have done(nearly everything in the above list has been repeated by many people

what a waste of hard work if we work against each other rather than together

Sounds like an awesome idea. I dont think that i could be helpful to make such thing, but i hope that u will find irrlichters who will help u making that. I think the best help would be from niko =]

This has been my goal the entire time I've been with Irrlicht.

But I can't even form a small group of people to work part time on a GUI editor let alone gather all those hardly finished or standardized open source owner uncontactable programs into one and then expect to host it or get niko to.

HELL I can't even get people to use google toolbar and built in spellchecker..

Well you thought wrong because I've posted I NEED HELP WITH GUICE about 30 times now without a single response.

Try getting web space and pretending you are working on it by yourself it seems to be working for most of the projects currently under Irrlicht.

BTW have you noticed that Irrlicht is still not even 1.0? it's not even finished yet as a rendering engine let alone a game engine and the whole reason for creating Irrlicht was to make a PORTABLE RENDERING ENGINE something everyone could easily BUILD UPON..

next time you have an idea while sitting on the toilet try not to pinch all the intelligence into the bowl. lol

I'm the worst speller in the world in fact on my IQ test says it's my only flaw but I hit ONE button on the google toolbar and BAM instint genius!!

you can't even be bothered to spell the word ONE and you expect everyone to compile something that could take years of design and testing for what your own personal gain?

I think if OUR dream of this ever happening is ever to take place you're going to have to be a lot more committed to even get others involved let alone do it for you which is why you are asking the community instead of doing it yourself.

Hows that for harsh and idealistic?
For god sake without harsh and idealistic people like myself nothing would ever get done have you ever had a nice boss?

I know the Irrlicht community thinks I'm an smartypants but in reality I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet and I don't even get acknowledgement for MY contribution to Irrlicht which happens to be better then OGRE's counterpart even in it's beta stage.

If you want to tell me off fine at least spell it correctly though and know there is NO HATE in my words only love for Irrlicht and it's community regardless how people feel about it.

That's the problem right there.. people let feelings get involved in there work and the product is nothing.

a whole game engine would mean wasted computrons and space, and wouldn't suit everyone. i reckon we need a web app to hold a catalogue of add-on classes for irrlicht, so you can just browse through and go, "i'll have the audio library wrapper, scoreboard, some decals, generic .x fps enemy ai class, exploding crate class, and the particle weapons pack".

Well you thought wrong because I've posted I NEED HELP WITH GUICE about 30 times now without a single response.

I looked at your source code as I wanted to help you out as I am using GUICE for my project, but to be honest fixing all the swprintf() function calls (data type mismatch) grew very tedious. You also posted that you had rewritten parts of the app and as far as I know never released the new source code so I figured that there was not much reason to continue.
