DooM: Quentin {Preview}

A lot have changed in the project, so i will add a few news :

- Models won't be used from Doom 3 , i will use some nice free models from internet also i will use some of my own
/ why ? illegal & to easy & bad origin for the game & found nice models from other doom remakes in 3d so they only need a bit of tuning and new skins of course =]

- There is a new plot. It wont be a remake anymore. New monsters are developed at this moment. Some monsters will be modified.
/what motivation caused that? there were a lot of doom remakes, so it is better to start a new story, some new monsters etc.

This is it for now. Hmm i can also tell that diffrent damage system and doors are now avaible in DooM Quentin atm. (but it doesn't mean that they don't require any tuning ;) ) [also hud is in progress at this moment, it will be based on some basic static text (i dont like health bars ^^ i only like chocolate bars)]

This project is being on hold. It will be finished later in some later days. The main problem occured was map desing, which I found a bit hard with irrlicht. (if u want to use lightmaps u need a lot of work) It is not so simple as i though with levels ;>. But still 2d artist is making some work on skins / textures for DoomQ .

The main thing i decided to leave this project right now is that i lost my passion for Doom at the moment.

I was playing a lot of mmorpg games for 2 weeks. I enjoyed Mu Online and World of Warcraft very much. In this moment i'm working on a fpp hack'n'slash game. I will post some screenshots in near future. Because that what i am working now is the thing i wanted to work from the begining. (but i didn't have enough of programs & everything what i needed)

If you really need to see what is done, u will be disappointed because it is not much :> So really if u have to see it just send me PM i will send u back link to last version.

come on dawsaw dont give up

i advise u to use the deled editor it is really easu and produces good results
i made the level in the framework demo in 30 mins
if u dont like the low res lightmaps just perform a blur on the m with ur favourite paint app

and lightmaps in dmf u just click the generate light map button no fancy console apps or crazy vis-verbose-pvs what do they all mean???

our project is short on animators
so i thought is hould come here since the animations in your demo were good so if you want to be an animator join our project
