Some newbie ???

Post by Serg Nechaeff »

1. How do I scroll the texture?
2. Can I draw a skybox, then 2d stuff and then particles?
3. Are point sprites available?
4. How can I scale the texture?

1.) What do you meany by "scroll the texture" ? (never heard of that before)

2.) Yes, you can draw a skybox and use particles and other 2D stuff.

3.) (I don't know)

4.) Scale the texture? Why not just make it bigger with a paint program? Thats the easy way...

1. I used "texturescroll" function in Blitz Basic, and it's a nice feature, as you may have some great visual effects of moving clouds, some weird wall textures, water etc...

4. I need to scale a texture for my 2d drawings... add some effects as well

Thanks for your answers!

all of those things *can* be done, but someone needs to write the code to do it.

1. write a function which moves all the pixels in a texture n places to the left (with wrap around of course)

4. this has been done, check out this thread http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... .php?t=633
