ANNOUNCEMENT: don't modify your avatar or you'll loose it!

Post by afecelis »

From some info Niko Sent Me:
The problem is that the sourceforge staff changed some settings at the server so that php scripts are not able to write on the disk at all. This means: No changing/uploading avatars anymore. Maybe they'll change it again, but I don't know.
so guys, if you got your avatar uploaded don't try to change it or you'll loose it. Let's hope sourceforge ppl can fix it soon.

regards,

talkin about faces; Slipknot will be playing in the capital on the 18th so I'm giving it a long thought to go see those freakz play. I understand they're great on stage; has anybody seen them?

About the concert, I'll check if there are still tickets online and buy one. If I get to go I'll take some pics!!!! I just watched some live videos from them and they really are something.... and we don't get those bands much around here in Colombia very often! :D

well, as moderator Niko was able to help me out on that one, but the bad news is that the problem still persists for regular users.

we're still hoping for the guys at sourceforge to re-allow users to write to the hard disk database again when modifying options. (fingers crossed)

Hi,

as joined much later than you I have recognized this "avatar-problem" these days. Ok, I know now there is no way to upload it, because we are not allowed any more to write onto the harddisk.

But why can't I link to an image I uploaded somewhere else before?
(like an image I have on my "photobucket"-album?

It still works with putting an image into the signature.

Please tell me if there is any way to link to an extern avatar.

Thanks.
