I have implemented ENEMIES!!!! THAT WORK!!!! And I've made a tutorial out of it and posted it to the "FAQ's & Tools" forum.
So, here's the shot of the char dying.

The demo is very good, iam impressed. The only thing i would like to critisise is that i got stuck in the hall way by the dead spider, and i could not find the jump key. Also the animations are cut short when i release the key which could be improved. I can see there is great potential in this game so keep the good work!

And i think you don't have to care about copyrights.
Just make a good fun game for the fans,
Nintendo won't go on Irrlicht forums and there are a lot of sites and
forums where a lot of people already use
their copyright pictures, 3D models etc....for mini games, remakes and
other things.
I could modelise , UVmap , and do some basic texturing
(i'm not good at 2D painting) for some ennemies or objects of your levels if you need (But i don't do animation).
keep the good work.

Sorry for not posting in such a looong time but I've been busy, but I've had school and I've started work on a RPG with a team. I tried to make them use Irrlicht but they wanted Crystal Space.
Now, about the fangame:
1) I've rewritten it from scratch, better entity system, better player handling, less RAM consuming.
2) I've devised a GameState mechanism (no classes, delphi-style) to handle the game and it works.

This project is not dead. But it's going really slow.
