should there be a "Project Updates" topic?

For my project updates, I've practically been flooding the 'open discussion' forum. unfortunately, this pushes down threads which are seeking active discussion.

furthermore, it would be nice to have one single place to get updates on the various Irrlicht projects. currently i have seen updates in both Open Discussion and Offtopic.

So, should we have a new forum topic: "Project Updates" ?

well, there seem to be 10 'yes' votes-- would it be alright to start a new forum topic, Sai?

just do what I do: start the thread, and see if it gets locked/deleted

im not talking about just another thread-- im talking about a whole nother forum topic ("beginner" "advanced" "faqs" "project updates" ..etc)

I would if I had the power. I can only moderate posts. I send requests like the one I made for the How-To forum, to the man, Niko, himself.

I'm all for a "Project Announcement" forum.
