3DS Max export to MD2.

Post by disanti »

Is there any good way I can export my animated characters to MD2? I'm using Max 5.1 with QTiP right now and my model is invisible when I put it in Irrlicht. :(

Thanks ~ John DiSanti

Ok, I found the problem. I was just modifying the Tech Demo to test my character and didn't look at the animations. :s

How can I get my own animations into it? Also, are there going to be plans for MDL anytime soon? Thats the only format I havn't been having problems with other tools.

MD2 has limits that can be very annoying for modern day games. Most Commercial game characters have 7000 polygons these days.

You can do just fine with md2 models. In doom3 game characters are between 2000 and 6000 polygons. I guess your game is not called doom3 :)
