Help with modulating colors (GFXStyLER Alert)

Okay, okay. I used the following search terms: Modulate, Materials

I came up with a disscusion that said there is no way at this time to change the way a material color and a texture color are combined. dated 2004.

I did go through the tutorials, but not being as smart as GFX, I'm sure I missed something.

Is that still true? I tried setting ambient color as well, and couldn't seem to get it working. Can one set the way texture colors and material colors blend when EMF_LIGHTING to true? Is it my imagination, or is the material system still under heavy construction and pretty much textures and dynamic lights are the way to go?

Because there are allmost no new questions and I would search for the answers at local server.

I mean: niko make surely backups of mysql-DB anyway, and he could give it to somebody, who needs it, and this somebody to somebody else etc.. till I get it and give it somebody ... (or he just provides it to download at sourceforge)

So if some people use it at local server, there is less last for this server - so this forum would be faster. And using it at local server is faster too. (I guess the reason of forums "slowlity" is the DB)

hmm i could do a RIP of the whole complete forum but the search function would not work then. and providing the mysql DB only would not have any use too.

still it does not solve the problem of putting a very high load on the server which should slow down the already slow irrlicht forum a lot.

if you dont know how to do it and i get the permission to do it i would download the whole forum, put it into an archive and then upload it on my server or send it to somebody.

Why not? I just need the same version of PHPBB as this one, copy it to local server, and execute the mysql scripts (if he makes the backup with creating tables - what he surely does) ... however he (niko) managed to recover the forum only having his DB backups - i guess it shoud be possibly for us also..

PS: how you can download the whole forum? as HTML - there were no use of it and it woul be too big.

Niko won't give up the db backup becouse it contains everyones usernames and passwords. it would not be a good thing. ripping the forum won't do you any good becouse the posts are saved in the db.
