by marketing the demo, you mean.... by using it to be free for promotional purposes...? If so, there are several game sites, such as... gamehippo.com and things to that nature. I'm not sure I haven't really went in depth on a marketing plan, That was my first intention, game sites where you can just submit the demo. Put the demo everywhere, like p2p networks, game sites. MAKE A WEBSITE OF YOUR OWN, this would be mandatory. make a paypal account and such so you can receive the purchase through pay-pal. People are into pay-pal a lot now days.

Also, I herd that that exporter was buggy, and right now I'm using blender 2.40.... I suggest you upgrade also, I'll probably use .x if I can find an exporter for 2.4... I'm too lazy to learn how to use the blender python libraries and all that... HAH! does anyone know any locations for blender 2.40 .x exporters???

It sounds like you have a good plan.
Just don't give up. It's taken me a year to get my homeworld demo up to where I had something to show. it still has a long way to go.
Audiere is a good choice over openAl. Audire will play multiple sounds at once, where openAl won't. So, audiere for games is a good choice. Also, if you look at the header file, there is also code for sound effects.

If it exists in the real world, it can be created in 3d
