Pong

Post by nwinter »

So, I think I've finished it--my first C++ program. Many things were adapted from the tutorials; I never got around to getting my own modeling software.

Check it out / tell me how it runs on your system.

Oh, and since whenever I tried OpenGL instead of Direct3D9 it got messed up, it just runs in Direct3D9 (so I guess that's Windows only). Sorry.

That is really cool. I'll look at the opengl thing... that is weird. I want to get this to run on linux.

I get no more errors when I change EDT_DIRECT3D9 to EDT_OPENGL, but for some reason the source wouldn't complie... that might be from the project file ich make... it might have some options wrong.

I basically don't know what I'm doing when it comes to using my compiler (Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition), so it doesn't surprise me that it won't compile for you; I probably messed several things up.

If you'd like, I can post a recompiled version with EDT_OPENGL set.

EDIT: Okay, here's the OpenGL version, plus a screenshot of the horror:

That's pretty nice, like the way you've done it in the cave, and the sound effects are awesome!
