picture in PICTURE or map on a heads up display?

Post by TomB »

So, do you know how one go about a PIP? MAybe make a smaller picture fit in the upper right corner of the main Picture? I am thinking of some sort of map feature? Has anyone done this? Or possibly a similar idea such as displaying two cameras on the screen. Could be usefull for mulitplayer, though I am using it for a map...

Thanks

Well, you could just draw 2D shapes, and update their positions every frame, or if you want to get complicated, you can have 2 viewports.

I've done it with 2d drawing of squares on an HUD. I tried render to texture, but its really slow.
