Starship movement...

Post by CUG »

Hello. Great job you're doing. Could you please help a completely ignorant guy with a serious coding issue?

I need to know how to realize a starship-like movement, in 3 dimensions, for a scene node in Irrlicht, like in old games as X-Wing.

I am quite sure that it has got something to do with vector normalization, but every attempt I do fails miserably. Could you please throw something together to show me the solution to my problem?

Thank you in advance.

http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... 23&start=4
here is done exactly what you want, but beware! its compiled in visual C++, not in DevCPP. And i apologize for the slooow download.(4kb/sec) maybe ill upload only the source shortly. You could also look at the modification [dx/x]=HUNT3R made(on his homepage), but thats in the source, and mine is with no modifications to the source. Yust see wich one you find more apropiate.
