VBO with Irrlicht

VBO with Irrlicht

Hi

after porting Irrlicht to OpenGLES (basic things are running) I have another problem wich could be a showstopper for Irrlicht. The main bottleneck of my target system is the bus to the graphic chip. I had framerate improvements of more than 1000% when using VBO in some applications.

So, my question is now: Is there a common point in Irrlicht where I can create VBOs for all the vertex data?

IrrSpintz has VBOs implemented, but the implementation is not officially accepted and might need some reorganization to integrate VBOs more tightly with Irrlicht.

Either use IrrSpintz, or extract that part from IrrSpintz and put into basic Irrlicht, or implement it on your own.

I guess Google didn't get this successful with your help, eh :roll:
So please, such postings are completely unnecessary (even superfluous :wink: ) and you could have started much earlier when doing the search on your own. Anyway: It's irrlicht.spintz.com
