What do people think of the way some books explain (game, physics, ai, ect...) engines, API's, ect...
Explaining the aspects of the topic while working with the reader to a common goal. Using irrlicht as the lab-rat, (wishful thinking) making to tutorials build one upon another to build some simple game (wishful thinking). I like this method because I can easily see how all of the different elements fit together and how they can be used.... Right now the tutorials display different topic, but by reading them I still have problems combining them into another program the does ______...
No Offense, niko for the current docs and everything, but personally I prefer the type that I explained above.
What are other people's opinions?
