Wiki Reloaded

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, but I'm already lurking around for a while.
I really want to contribute to the documentation and since I'm Wiki-addicted I rebuild the mainpage, to make it look better and make it more structured. Tomorrow I will continue this, but I would like your reactions on this initiative.

I enjoy working with the irrlicht engine! You developers did a great job on this! I study computer sciences in the Netherlands, and at my school we've learned working with the win32 api and c++ and I got sick of c++ because win32 sucks so much..but because of the structured irrlicht engine I got enthousiastic about c++ again so kudo's for you guy's!

the sections part of the page is ugly tho, IMO, being hueg boxes like that

I hope that it will look better when more information and links are added, but do you have suggestions for the sections part?

It would be nice if the tutorials were there, so we could add more lanuages. I've seen a few recent requests for VB.NET, which is really easy to make since the C# tutorials are already done.

Spinz: can you give me maybe some advice? Do you miss something? Because I think that the current main page is a chaos, and I am trying to give the wiki some boost

The reason I like the original is because it's plain and simple. Adding graphics and all that makes it look nice but it gets very confusing.

I suck at graphics in general, never been really good with web graphics or layouts either. I used to host and develop a website for RYL( Risk Your Life ) - www.rylsanctuary.com and I always got complaints when I tried to make it too fancy or have too much "going on". And I always get praises when I kept it simple and easy to navigate.

I don't understand how you think the main page is chaos?
