Impossible to compile irrlicht 0.6

Post by exal »

Hi

I have the IUnKnown problem with Irrlicht. No matter how I try to get around it it seems impossible.

I have tried renaming the IUnKnown.h to IrrIUnKnown.h
in the class The same change has been made.

This works for most classes. But when you get to CVideodirectx9 it includes windows.h and then everything goes to hell.

Can someone tell me step by step how to get around this?

Note that I am not trying to compile my project at the moment. From which I have removed all using namespace irr; etc etc. But that doesn't help either for the project.

A Little lost here.

I got it to compile now. I actually only upgraded to VS.Net 2003 and got it to compile.

It could be just a compiler namespace bug or it could be that before I had the platform SDK installed also and it was including strange stuff.

Anyway that's how I solved it.

I don't think so, I allways had the PlatformSDK installed, since I need it, and with irrLicht 0,6 it now works fine. Of course I'm using VC.2003 since 2002 exclusively  VC.2002 was a pile of bull****.
You can allways move the Libraries up or down your search line in VC so conflicts of that sort should be easy to solve.
