I was searching the net just to find some things on 3D. Then I found the IRRLICHT enging page. I read on it. Seems like it's something that has high potential. My dream is to have an online Avatar environment someday. I will never have it if I don't start studying now. I have to familiarize and start on this. I think with this enging and this community I can get something going. Learn the nomenclature. Know what I have to know. Realize whats up or down. I will do this with enthusiasm for the subject. Not forcing it in anyway. I will check out the code snippets and even though I don't know anything about that code I will familiarize myself with it. Then when I start studying the C++ I will say oh yes I remember seeing that code on the Irrlicht forum. Where this guy gave some code to create some rain drops. Then I will have something to attach my learning to. My memorization. I don't need to learn every aspect. Not so fast. I just have to get past the learning curve behind this. Familiarize myself to a certain degree. Then after I get past that hump so to speak the sky is the limit. What I was reading on C++ tonight it sounds like the best code I can get into. I just liked what I read about encapsulated code. The object oriented stuff. Which I have no clue what I am saying I just can feel maybe I can comprehend it someday. I hope. Like I was saying about the Avatar environment. Kind of like Second Life. Or There.com's world. But even more basic to start out. I think I would like to create a small bar scene. A place with a bar and some stools. Some tables. Then all of us avatars can stand around or sit and talk. Drink a drink and shoot the breeze. Nothing spectactular. So it isn't some big game development situation that would have to take a couple years. I don't need levels and all that of course. This is just a social setting. And if it is rarely used fine. I would kick back in this place in the evening. As my avatar and have a few people kicking it inside this place. An unruly punk teen signs up and comes in and talks crap. then BOOM the clown is booted lol. At any rate I hope I will come back here often to enjoy some tech talk. Learn a few things. I also just started going to www.DAZ3D.com. They sell content for poser. I wonder if somehow I can use their content for my avatar environment. I am sure I can somehow. I will have to ask in another post. I highly doubt this one will be read as foolishly long and drawnout as it is ROFL.
